— Local founders are leading Africa’s tech wave: Tech hubs like Lagos are skilled tech talent and brimming with creativity. Hundreds of startups are already using AI to build products, and make education and medicine more accessible.
— Africans built the foundations of AI: Teams in Kenya and Nigeria did some of the foundational work to train early AI models. While companies like OpenAI, Huggingface are leading the charge, its very early and we’ve yet to see what AI can really do for us. The constructors have the insight to become the architects of what’s next.

But, in Nigeria, startup funding declined 62% last year, even as funding for AI startups is on the rise globally. .
That’s why we are launching Go Time AI, to bridge the gap both in funding and resources for early-stage startups in Nigeria that are building to solve problems across the global south and beyond.

— Directly fund early-stage AI startups with up to $200,000 in exchange for 8% equity
— Provide API and cloud credits to build and test your product
— Create community through weekly team meals, housing credits, and workspace in Lagos
